Bókasýningin Norræn náttúra 2025 | NORDIC NATURE 2025 – exhibition of fine art binding

Verk ARKA á sýningunni bar titilinn VÖTN þar sem var m.a. unnið út frá afskrifuðum vatnakortum. Sjá myndir hér fyrir neðan.

🇬🇧 ARKIR participate in the Nordic bookbinding and book art exhibition  NORDIC NATURE 2025, which is currently running at the National Library. The exhibition is a joint exhibition of Nordic bookbinders, where seven members of ARKIR are showing a joint artist book. The exhibition is organized by the Nordic Bookbinding Society in cooperation with the National Library of Iceland – University Library and the JAM group, a group of Icelandic bookbinders. The opening took place at the National Library on April 23, 2025, on World Book Day. The exhibition runs from April 23 to September 1, but it should be noted that the National Library is closed from July 21 to August 5. Information about the books and photographs is online: explore the full collection here: NORDIC NATURE. There you can also view most of the books in 3D. ARKIR participate with the joint work VÖTN (Waters), which was based on upcycled water maps. See images above. In total, the exhibition includes 59 entries created by book artists, both amateur and professional, and students. Check out Nordic Bookbinding Society’s Instagram where they each day feature one of the books from the exhibition — a daily glimpse into Nordic craftsmanship.
