🇮🇸 Að sögn aðstandenda sýningarinnar ELEMENTAL ICELAND í MOFA, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, hefur sýningunni verið afar vel tekið. Allar ellefu ARKIR  taka þátt og sýna þar valin bókverk. Við fengum þetta myndband frá sýningunni, en þar eru einnig verk eftir Valgerði Hauksdóttur, Elvu Hreiðarsdóttur, Soffíu Sæmundsdóttur, Rósu Sigrúnu, Önnu Gunnarsdóttur, Önnu Þóru, Nicole Pietrantoni og Jóhann Eyfells. Sýning stendur frá 14. október til 7. desember 2019.

🇬🇧 The art exhibition ELEMENTAL ICELAND in MOFA, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts in Tallahassee, Florida, has been well-received according to the curators. The museum has produced a promotional video or a “virtual tour” for the exhibition. Featured artists are all 11 members of ARKIR Book Arts Group and artists Valgerdur Hauksdóttir, Elva Hreidarsdottir, Soffia Sæmundsdóttir, Rosa Sigrun, Anna Gunnarsdottir, Anna Thóra, Nicole Pietrantoni and Johann Eyfells.The exhibition is open from October 14 to December 7, 2019.

ARKIR exhibit selected works from our exhibition BORDERLAND that travelled in the US in 2018. The exhibition is open from October 14 to December 7, 2019.

🇮🇸 Í vor barst ÖRKUM tilboð um að sýna verk í Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts í Tallahassee, Florída, í Bandaríkjunum. Sýnd eru valin bókverk úr sýningunni BORDERLAND sem meðal annars var sett upp í tveimur sýningarsölum í Bandaríkjunum á árinu 2018. Sýningin í MOFA nefnist Elemental Iceland og stendur frá 14. október til 7. desember 2019. Sýningarstjóri að hálfu ARKA er Kristín Þóra Guðbjartsdóttir. Á sýningunni Elemental Iceland eru einnig verk eftir Valgerði Hauksdóttur, Elvu Hreiðarsdóttur, Soffíu Sæmundsdóttur, Rósu Sigrúnu, Önnu Gunnarsdóttur, Önnu Þóru, Nicole Pietrantoni og Jóhann Eyfells.

🇬🇧 ARKIR are happy to announce an upcoming exhibition in the US as they take part in the art exhibition Elemental Iceland in MOFA, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, Tallahassee, Florida, USA. The invitation to take part was appreciated and Kristín Þóra Guðbjartsdóttir served as ARKIR’s curator, selecting works from our exhibition BORDERLAND that travelled in the US in 2018.

The exhibition is introduced thus: “Contemporary graphic, textile, and sculptural works from Iceland addressing the island nation’s unique landscapes, geology, and cultural history rooted in materials derived from the earth and sea. Featured artists: Valgerdur Hauksdóttir, Elva Hreidarsdottir, Soffia Sæmundsdóttir, Rosa Sigrun, Anna Gunnarsdottir, Anna Thóra, Nicole Pietrantoni, Johann Eyfells, and members of the ARKIR Book Arts Group.”

The exhibition is open from October 14 to December 7, 2019.
